Services Provided
- 1. Breeding and mass production of purebred animals (pigs and poultry) for distribution to farmers in outer islands and South Tarawa
- 2. Crossbreeding of exotic animals (pigs and chickens) with local breeds to improve meat and production qualities
- 3. Marketing of live animals like piglets & chickens (males, layers and broilers) and animal products like fresh eggs
- 4. Conduct livestock research trials
- 5. Conduct technical trainings to farmers, communities and schools
- 6. Provide animal clinical services to the public
- 7.Provide technical support and advice to farmers (egg producers, broiler farmers and pig farmers) on animal husbandry, proper care and management
- 8. Prepare technical advisory information on livestock husbandry and animal health for mass production and dissemination by ITE
